250,000 Gallon Water Tower South of Marion to be Rehabilitated

The 250,000 gallon TM Water tower 3 miles south of Marion will be rehabilitated in the fall of 2019. TM has obtained the services of Viking Industrial Painting of Omaha, Nebraska and Elevated Welding Services of Belle Plaine, Minnesota to complete the rehab of this tower.
The Tower will be taken out of service at the end of September in order to blast and repaint the exterior and interior of the tower.
At the same time the 12" riser pipe that fills the tower will be replaced by a 12" Stainless Steel waterline.
Work on the tower with good weather should take 6 to 8 weeks.
The District made adjustments to the distribution system in advance of taking this water tower out of service in order to contine to serve water while maintenance crews are on site.
